1. Purpose

MUTCCAN provides community-focused programs that support professional growth, networking, mentorship, job sharing, and employment opportunities for technology professionals in Canada.

2. Membership & Participation

• Participation in MUTCCAN services and programs is voluntary.
• By registering for any service, you agree to provide accurate information necessary for delivering that service.
• MUTCCAN collects only the minimum information required.
• MUTCCAN may revoke membership or access for violations of these Terms or harmful behavior.

3. Sponsorship and Management

MUTCCAN is sponsored and managed by LEPROC. LEPROC staff and resources may access MUTCCAN operational data strictly for delivering, supporting, and improving MUTCCAN services, under confidentiality and privacy standards.

4. Privacy & Data Handling

• All participant information is treated confidentially.
• Data is only used for the purpose it was collected.
• Participants may request correction or deletion of their data.

5. Email Communications

• Providing your email for registration or service participation adds you to MUTCCAN newsletters and updates.
• Unsubscribing is always available via provided links or footers.

6. Use of Third-Party Tools

MUTCCAN uses third-party collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and MailPoet. Necessary information may be shared strictly for delivering the relevant service.

7. Partnerships & Information Sharing

• When services are delivered with partners (e.g., events at Islamic centres), relevant information may be shared with them for operational purposes.
• Resumes or related information may be shared with recruiters or employers to support job candidates.
• Participants are always informed about the purpose and recipients and can choose whether to provide their information.

8. Code of Conduct

• Participants must engage respectfully and professionally.
• Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
• MUTCCAN may remove access for violations.

9. Events & Programs

• Most services are free of charge.
• Some events may require fees for resources; these will be clearly communicated.
• Sponsorships and donations are accepted to enable organizational operations and growth. MUTCCAN is not a registered charity and cannot provide tax receipts.

10. Service Limitations & Liability

• Participation is at your own risk.
• MUTCCAN is not liable for outcomes, decisions, or interactions, including mentorship, training, networking, or employment support.
• Services may be paused, modified, or discontinued at any time.

11. User-Submitted Content

• Participants own the rights to content they submit.
• MUTCCAN may use submitted content to deliver services but is not responsible for errors or misuse by others.

12. Website Use

• No unauthorized access, content scraping, or misuse of communication forms.
• Website analytics and cookies may be used to improve services; data is anonymized.

13. Age Requirement

Participants must be at least 16 years old. Under 16 require parental or guardian consent.

14. Job Sharing Services (Jobzy@mutccan.org)

MUTCCAN manages Jobzy@mutccan.org to connect Job Receivers (individuals seeking tech jobs) with Job Senders (recruiters, supporters, hiring managers). Registration implies acceptance of the following role-specific terms:

Job Receiver Terms

• May receive frequent emails from multiple Job Senders; emails are opt-in.
• Understand emails may be forwarded; [FW] in the subject indicates forwarding.
• Duplicate listings may occur.
• Do not forward jobs received from the list back into the list; register separately as a Job Sender if you wish to share.
• Each email includes an unsubscribe option via Jobzy+unsubscribe@mutccan.org.

Job Sender Terms

• Only share job opportunities; no unrelated content.
• Registration is approved before gaining access.
• No test or unrelated messages are allowed.
• Separate registration as a Job Receiver is required to receive listings.
• Emails must indicate forwarding with [FW] or identify the sender if original.
• Unsubscribe footer is automatically included.

General Job Sharing Terms

• Misuse may result in removal.
• Respect the privacy, purpose, and integrity of the MUTCCAN community.
• Users are responsible for content they send or receive.

15. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold MUTCCAN, LEPROC, volunteers, and partners harmless from claims arising from misuse or violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada.

17. Amendments

MUTCCAN may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance.
